About Us

Our Story

We believe that rehabilitation, fitness, and health go hand-in-hand.  We know that to provide a whole-body approach, time and attention is needed.

Unfortunately, the traditional healthcare model is dependent on treating a large number of patients in a short amount of time.  For active people in their 40's, 50's, and 60's, it can be especially difficult to receive quality care in this type of environment.

Tim Varghese, PT, DPT founded Movement Solutions in 2017 provide a higher standard of care.  He wanted to to offer an alternative for active adults, ages 40-60's, who:

  • valued their health
  • had the mindset necessary to achieve their goals
  • had important reasons to succeed

Specifically, he wanted to help people who had:

  • Been let down by doctors who only spend 15 minutes at the most and end up prescribing “more pills”
  • “Tried everything” like chiropractic, massage, to natural creams, or “youtube exercises”
  • Been told by friends or family that you should just rest, and take things easy
  • Tried surgery before, but ended up disappointed with the outcome
  • Been through “PT” before but were let down by the lackluster experience and results

In addition, he wanted to provide a setting where clients would feel comfortable with their provider, knowing that working together was a good fit.  He found that the types of people that often get the best, most transformative results were ones that:

  • Were health-conscious, active, or had a desire to get back to being active
  • Understood that properly recovering from an injury is a process and “quick fixes” are unlikely
  • Were tough-minded, strong-willed, and had a high pain tolerance (typically why they waited so long to seek treatment in the first place!)

He understood that these people have important reasons for being active. Ultimately, they want to:

  • Spend time with friends and family
  • Relieve stress through exercise
  • Restore their health and develop longevity
  • Maintain independence and mobility
  • Develop a deep understanding of their pain and prevent future injury
  • Prove all of the nay-sayers wrong
  • Get back long lost mobility, body awareness, and confidence
  • “Age gracefully”
  • Be able to care for their aging parents or young grandchildren
  • Live life without limitations

Movement Solutions was founded with the values of the active population in mind.  We keep our clients goals at the forefront in order to provide the best service, care, and results possible. We have a people first, patient second philosophy.  We emphasize one-to-one care and work to build lasting relationships. We spend the time needed to give excellent care. We make ourselves available to answer questions and take care of our patient's needs. We enjoy getting to know our patients and strive to have their best interest at heart.

Our mission is to help the middle-age population of Greenville overcome pain, move well, and be active so they can live happier and healthier lives.  Our process involves hands-on treatment to alleviate pain and discomfort, exercises to restore mobility and movement, and a plan to develop the strength and durability.  We want our clients to be active for years to come.

Are you ready to get back to lifting, running, hiking, or sport?  Do you want to become more active? If so, we would love to partner with you and help you achieve your goals.
